Preliminary information gave Warzone fans cause for excitement, as it suggested new LMG and AR could be introduced in Season 6. Nevertheless, many players are apprehensive of a possible change to these plans.
Spanning through six seasons, Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone have brought in a total of 21 innovative weapons, in addition to four new melee choices. This impressive roster includes seven novel ARs, a quartet of SMGs, and a troika of sniper rifles. Despite this, the coveted LMG has yet to make an appearance.
It’s rather strange when considering the popularity of LMGs. They may not be as favored as ARs and SMGs, but they have their uniqueness. One can recall how the RPK asserted its dominance in the Warzone meta during Season 1 and sporadically throughout Season 2. However, since then, an LMG of equal stature has not emerged.
The Sakin MG38 and Rapp-H have been decent contenders, but their slow-moving, long-loading characteristics don't match up with ARs and Battle Rifles. Season 6 appeared poised to end this prolonged hiatus of LMGs, but the players' enthusiasm may have been premature.
Possible Absence of Anticipated Weapons in Warzone Season 6
WhosImmortal, a Warzone authority, acknowledged fleet data observer DETONATED for uncovering the potential inclusion of Bruen MK9 LMG and FR 5.56 AR in MW2 and Warzone's Season 6.
However, WhosImmortal noted a notable change in the Weapon Mastery Camo Charms. The charms on the ISO 9MM and Dual Kamas suggest the adding of five new Season 6 weapons. Juxtaposed to this, the label on TR-76 Geist suggests the introduction of only three new weapons, hinting at a change in the original plan.
Continuing his analysis, WhosImmortal stressed that no mention of Bruen or FR 5.56 has been found in the current season's patch notes.
Interpretations of Absence & Future Developments
Attemptting to make sense of this, WhosImmortal proposed: "Modern Warfare 3 Campaign is set to launch on November 2nd, with the complete game to be released on November 10th. Personally, I would be taken aback if we received an update post-campaign access."
However, stirring the curiosity of players is the existence of two Haunting camos, ironically bearing the term 'Bruen'. These camos indicate an event, Captain Price's Revenge, set to occur on October 31st.
Time will eventually reveal the ultimate truth, as we approach Halloween night. Nevertheless, fervent LMG admirers can hold onto hope that the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 will prioritize LMGs more than MW2 did.
