Modern Warfare 2 Weapon Still Worth in Warzone

An in-depth look into how the once powerful MW2 weapon continues to hold relevance today, according to Warzone expert WhosImmortal.

It's easy to forget just how dominant some of the older weapons in Warzone used to be. WhosImmortal, a Warzone expert, recently brought attention back to one of the once-forgotten MW2 weapons. He believes this weapon that once ruled the Warzone meta is still a viable option.

The ongoing Warzone Season 3 has brought a lot of changes. There were various balance tweaks, along with new weapons such as the MORS for players to test. Amidst all these fresh offerings, it's understandable why the older MW2 weapons might be overlooked. Yet, this doesn't mean some of these aren’t still viable.

A prime example of such viability was indicated by WhosImmortal in his recent content. Despite not having high expectations from the TAQ-V at first, he was immensely impressed. The Warzone expert’s experience with this old gem implies that it's high time players revisited some of these abandoned weapons.

The TAQ-V in its prime was a force to be reckoned with. WhosImmortal decided to re-visit this weapon, and his results were surprising. He displayed his chosen TAQ-V loadout, which contained specific attachments, to demonstrate its capabilities.

While discussing this loadout, he mentioned that the attachments used with the TAq-V included a VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor in the muzzle. This was accompanied by a JAK Glassless optic for better vision.

The chosen underbarrel for this loadout was a Bruen Heavy Support Grip. This attachment would obviously be more beneficial in specific game scenarios. Accompanied with the right ammunition, here the 7.62x51mm High Grain ammunition, this can truly show what this weapon is capable of.

The attachment list was rounded off with a 30 Round Mag. Combining these attachments, WhosImmortal found a winning mix that allowed the TAQ-V to demonstrate its old prowess. In fact, it prompted him to remark, 'Yo this gun is actually beast, like it's actually good. I’m frying with it.'

WhosImmortal isn't claiming that this TAQ-V loadout would replace any meta-defining loadouts. However, he does believe that while using this TAQ-V loadout, one wouldn't feel hampered by an unimpressive weapon.

Looking at WZ ranked stats, unfortunately, the TAQ-V has a disappointingly low usage rate of just 0.04%. It even lags behind all Modern Warfare 3 weapons in popularity. Yet, WhosImmortal has maintained positivity regarding this underdog, urging players to give it another shot.

Consideration has to be given to the fact that despite it not being popular, the TAQ-V has remained competitive. It boasts of a solid TTK (Time-to-Kill) that assures it can hold its own in a firefight. Hence, despite its lack of popularity, players should not dismiss it outright.

There is one significant drawback of the TAQ-V and most MW2 weapons – they have excessive visual recoil. This results in both a visual and practical hindrance when using these weapons, especially at longer ranges, and can potentially affect the weapon's overall consistency.

Excessive visual recoil can be troublesome, especially when dealing with moving targets or aiming at longer ranges. This tends to put many players off from using MW2 weapons. But it's not to say these weapons, like the TAQ-V, are no longer useful.

Rather, it should be seen as a challenge for the player. Overcoming the visual recoil not only makes one a better player, it also brings older, powerful weapons back into the rotation.

WhosImmortal's experience with the TAQ-V is evidence enough. If wielded correctly, this old warhorse can still hold surprising firepower. His words serve as a reminder for players to not judge a weapon by its current popularity.

While it's tempting to always opt for the newer weapons, there's a certain thrill in discovering the true potential of older weapons. Just because they're not a part of the ongoing meta, it doesn't make them useless.

The TAQ-V might not be everyone's favorite choice for a weapon in Warzone. Yet, with players like WhosImmortal shedding light on overlooked weapons, it's clear that there’s worth to be found in MW2 era weaponry, if given a chance.
